You can take the kid out of work however you cannot take the work out of a Kid. Well what does that mean? In a nutshell, sixty-five hours a week is not unusual for this business owner to put in and maintain throughout the growing seasons. Even when I’m not working I really am. No matter what I’m doing, there’s always something else on the back burner so to speak and you never know when something is going to solve something else, so you are always running things through your mind. Sometimes you just need to rejuvenate oneself, and I had an idea.
I got to thinking about my grandson and thought “before this little kid becomes a big kid like me, let’s go whirl on the rides, splash down some slides and give hugs all day to our furry friends at SESAME STREET. We can see Cookie Monster Land and last but not least; meet and greet ELMO, all the while smiling and clapping and just being a “little kid” (well he already is one – but you get the drift”
So off we went on our adventure to Sesame Place, but once I got there it was all over. Sure I had a blast, those memories are priceless. But at the same time. Here I go again.
I just couldn’t stop noticing all the seasonal color within the park. The gorgeous hanging baskets, the potted containers overflowing with cascading annuals. The choices of dusty miller, with it silver gray foliage accented with the reds and pinks of begonias; all planted in masses of colour. Then there were the long arcing beds of petunias accented with blue salvia and such.
A mind of gardening never stops even when it wants too. It did stop at Elmo though.
