“a winter’s garden”
"its nature's way"
there has to be something going on in the garden beds. Often I can hear the birds chirping outside while working inside, and after 4 1/2 inches of powdered snow, they have to be looking for something to sustain them. I toss birdseed everywhere whenever I am out. And the squirrels are still active, bustling and scampering here and there all day long.
So I went for a short stroll with the digital to take a break.
So i took a stroll past the frozen falls and saw the miscanthus plumes wafting in the cold winter’s winds, but the cold didn’t matter. There was stuff to see. Textures, bed outlines and shadows. The sedum “autumn joy” bent over with snow and frozen to the snow covered ground. Come spring I’ll find the time to prune them and toss these long dead plants on a pile and they’ll be compost come summer.
Springs a comin
Just don’t feel like it outside…….
Brrrrrrrrrr. 8 degrees
